About us

Supermarine Powerboats was established as Ross-Smith Marine in 1986.

In 2016 Rod Ross- Smith left to persue other interests and we changed our name to reflect what we really do: build Super Marine Powerboats!

We operate out of a 5,000 sq ft factory on the banks of the Lymington River on the picturesque South Coast of the United Kingdom.

We have other smaller workshops, offices, stores and a large open but secure storage yard for moulds and boats.

Down a short lane; we can offer privacy for your next project, although with main rail connections to London Waterloo we are less than 2 hours from the Capital.

We like to be involved from the conception of a project: to have input, using our experience, with design and development of your dream to both gain performance and ease manufacturing challenges.

We have great relationships with many fast craft designers such as Adam Younger, Lorne Cambell, Petter Martens and Andrew Trujillo to name a few.

We can take your project and productionize it for you.

Our facility is adaptable and we have lots of kit:

10 ton overhead crane which allows us to move most projects easily and safely.

Forklift truck, calibrated loadcell  and other lifting and materials handling equipment.

Composite freezers and ovens.

Vacuum pumps and associated equipment.

8 X 4 CNC flat bed router, 3D printer.

Table and band saws, power tools and hand tools.
